The Hawks get another lottery pick courtesy of the Luka Doncic trade, adding another solid wing prospect in Jarrett Culver. After breaking out as a freshman next to Zhaire Smith, Culver is becoming a stronger lottery candidate seemingly by the day.
Again, the Hawks are seeking 3-and-D pieces who fit into versatile rotations around Young and Collins. Culver checks the right boxes, giving the Hawks an excellent spot-up shooter who can attack in straight-line drives, make some nice passes and defend multiple positions.
Culver continues to diversify his offensive approach, emerging as Tech’s most dynamic weapon in most situations. His release isn’t quick, but the mechanics are sound and the release point is high. He’s the perfect complementary piece in a draft lacking high-upside talent.
