Rui Hachimura is an exciting talent with some undeniable flaws, starting on the defensive end. His flashes of upside are tantalizing — explosive weak-side blocks, excellent interior defense — but they’re often counteracted by poor decision-making and limited awareness on the perimeter.

In his junior season, though, Hachimura has made serious strides on the offensive end. He’s the Zags’ go-to scorer, adding mid-range pull-ups, legitimate three-point range and more touch overall. His growth on that end has been beyond impressive.

The Hornets need to continue adding talent around Kemba Walker in whatever way possible. Hachimura gives Charlotte someone with an exciting defensive ceiling, as well as a potential replacement for the aging Marvin Williams.
