The Celtics make more of an upside play here. Louis King hasn’t suited up for Oregon yet, but that should change before June. At 6-foot-9, he’s a fluid scorer with lottery upside. It’s just a matter of seeing it in action.
Boston thrives with putting together versatile rotations who can exploit individual matchups. King makes sense — a bigger wing who can create in live-dribble situations, boasting soft touch around the rim and some tight handles.
On the defensive end, King’s size should make him an eventual fit in the Celtics’ switch-heavy scheme. It makes sense all around, although King may see his spike stock depending on his performance post-return.
