The Celtics probably don’t want to roster four first-round picks. Luka Samanic is a prime draft-and-stash candidate, separating himself as the best International prospect outside Doumbouya. He fits the stretch-four mold in the modern NBA.
Standing 6-foot-10, Samanic is a smooth shooter with some off-the-dribble ability. His thin frame is cause for concern, but it can improve in time. His offensive versatility could be a nice addition to the Celtics’ rotation in a few years.
The same goes for the defensive end. Samanic needs time to mature physically, but he’s mobile for 6-foot-10 and can slide his feet on the perimeter. The Celtics get some serious upside potential with four picks.
