Despite a slow start to the season, Sekou Doumbouya remains a strong top-10 prospect. His defensive ceiling should outshine offensive concerns, and the Nets seem like the perfect landing spot.

Next to Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert, the Nets would have multiple young defenders to build around. He can legitimately defend 4-5 positions in spurts, which is becoming increasingly valuable in the modern NBA. The Nets also like to run, an area where Doumbouya thrives.

While far from polished on offense, Doumbouya is a physical specimen who can cause serious issues on the fast-break. He’s strong, bouncy and has some underrated court vision. The tools for success are all in place, and Brooklyn is a good place to cultivate them.
