The Philadelphia 76ers will take another stab at the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day.

It’s Christmas Day, which means many of us are spending the day with family and friends. Some are busy opening presents, while others are catching the new Will Ferrell movie. Some might even sit down for a nice turkey dinner in the evening.

Then there’s the Philadelphia 76ers-Boston Celtics game at 5:30 PM E.T., arguably the highest-profile Sixers game in years. After a disappointing loss on opening night, the Sixers will undoubtedly look for revenge on the national stage.

We’ve already broken out some Christmas content here at The Sixer Sense, including gifts for every player (here) and individual matchups worth watching against Boston (here). Now it’s time to expand the horizons a bit, looking at five overarching themes/situations to keep an eye on tonight.

Also, from all of us at TSS, merry Christmas and happy holidays. We hope you enjoy a great day and, hopefully, some great basketball. A Sixers win would give them sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference.
