Jonah Bolden: A consistent 3-point shot
In Saturday’s win over Toronto, Jonah Bolden posted four points, nine rebounds and four blocks. He played a career-high 25 minutes, making a convincing case for regular playing time. His defensive activity and versatility are traits the Sixers covet.
Without much frontcourt depth, working Bolden into the regular rotation isn’t a crazy thought. He can defend multiple positions, run with Ben Simmons in transition, and make smart passes within the offense. The next step in his development is becoming more consistent from three-point range.
Bolden has some really intriguing tools that, over time, should make him a valuable part of the Sixers’ second unit. He needs to produce in more than one game to earn playoff minutes, but for now, there’s reason for optimism.
