Wilson Chandler

By Lucas Johnson

There’s no doubt that Wilson Chandler has filled his role well enough with the Sixers, however it would be nice to have the Chandler of two years ago when he averaged 15.7 points per game. The combo forward still has to skill to be a double-digit scorer, however it appears he lacks the drive at the current moment. His New Year’s resolution should be to become more aggressive in finding his shot.

It’s great that Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and J.J. Redick are averaging career highs, but if Chandler was slightly more aggressive it would relieve some of scoring burden on them. Having Chandler more aggressive will help keep those other guys fresher and get them easier looks.

Sixers “resisting” Anthony trade. light. More

Currently, the Sixers starting power forward is averaging a career low 6.5 points. That’s not going to cut if for a team is trying to win a championship. The Sixers don’t need him to average around 15 points like he did a few seasons ago, but if he could get close to his career average of 13.2 points, it would make the 76ers just that much better on offense.

Maybe head coach Brett Brown could draw up a few plays for him during the games, however this also has to do with his aggressiveness as well. If Chandler would be more assertive on offense, then it should make things easier for his teammates.
