The Sixers currently have two players shooting the three ball higher than 38.0 percent and adding Terrence Ross is a much-needed boost off of the bench. Ross is shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc, 0.5 percent above his career average. Ross is a confident shooter, attempting six three-point shots a game and averaging a career-high 13.9 points per game this season.

Additionally, Ross has enough ball control to handle the basketball and limit his turnovers, best represented by his 7.7 turnover percentage (less than 1.3 turnovers a game for his entire career). Ross’ 54.9 True Shooting percentage, a fantastic barometer in measuring the efficiency of a shooter, is greater than D’Angelo Russell‘s 53.5 percent and even higher than players such as Jeremy Lamb, Gary Harris, and Gordon Hayward.
Defensively, the 6-foot-7 hybrid guard possesses the speed and footwork to defend perimeter scorers and penetrating guards. Physically, Ross is a little undersized as a forward, but he would almost never serve as a primary defender against the league’s best forwards. Ross’ 100.3 pace rating matches nicely with the Sixers top 10 team pace, and his athleticism and energy combination allows him to almost perfectly fit.
The Philadelphia 76ers have enough picks necessary to inflate the value of a trade as well as a handful of role players with team-friendly contracts. A team like the Orlando Magic would seemingly not set their price too high for Ross given the depth of their roster and continuous losing seasons.
