PLAYER GRADES: Sacramento Kings 115, Philadelphia 76ers 108
After an impressive win at Golden State Thursday night, the 76ers were unable to continue their winning ways against a young Sacramento Kings team.
In their 9th game of a grueling 12-game stretch, the Philadelphia 76ers fell to a very talented Sacramento Kings team led by 34 points from Oklahoma product Buddy Hield.
Without starting two-guard J.J. Redick in the lineup, the 76ers struggled from long range, shooting just 7-33 for the night.
Strong performances from the Sixers big three of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Jimmy Butler were not enough to overcome a hot Kings team that got up and down the floor with ease.
Finishing up their west-coast road trip, the 76ers look to head back home for their next matchup against the Toronto Raptors. Despite a poor shooting performance, the 76ers were able to hang around tonight in a game full of 10-0 runs by the fast-paced Kings offense.
With their next four matchups coming against the likes of Toronto, Denver, the L.A. Lakers and Boston, the 76ers are going to be tested at home. Look for a strong response and a wild crowd Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center as the 76ers try and move a game closer to the second-seed Toronto Raptors.
