Brooklyn Nets
The 2018-19 Brooklyn Nets are very similar to last year’s 76ers team. They are a young, inexperienced team that has shown spurts of excellence throughout the season. Brooklyn sits at the six-seed in the East, 1.5 games ahead of the Charlotte Hornets. They are likely to fall somewhere in the 6-8 range in the final playoff standings this season, so there is a good chance the Nets end up being a first round matchup for Philadelphia.

On the season, the 76ers are 1-2 against Brooklyn, with their only win coming courtesy of a Jimmy Butler step-back game winner. Led by D’Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jarret Allen, the Nets are a very interesting matchup for the Sixers. After the loss of shooting guard Caris LeVert early in the year, many were unsure how the young Nets team would fare after losing a high-scoring starter. The Nets are a middle of the pack team when it comes to their 111.1 points per game (17th), while allowing 111.5 points to opponents (18th).
The current starting five for Philadelphia is much more experienced and talented overall compared to Brooklyn. The potential return of Caris LeVert for Brooklyn could be an important wrinkle in the fabric of their starting five, potentially giving them the offensive boost they need.
Though the Nets have had the better of Philadelphia in the regular season, the 76ers playoff experience would be the difference with a potential first round matchup on the horizon between these teams.
