12. Amir Johnson

January Stats: GP 4| MINS 11.3| FG% 60.0| 3P% 50.0| FT% 80.0| TRB 3.5| AST 1.8| BLK 0.3| STL 0.5| PF 2.0| TOV 0.8| PTS 6.0

Previous ranking: 12th

Don’t let the efficient numbers be deceiving, there was a reason that Johnson only played in four games in January. He played limited minutes and majority of those minutes came at the end of games, except for the Philadelphia 76ers lost against the Denver Nuggets. Johnson was buried on the bench with the emergence of Jonah Bolden in the first month of 2019.

11. Furkan Korkmaz

January Stats: GP 12| MINS 13.8| FG% 40.7| 3P% 36.8| FT% 78.6| TRB 2.3| AST 1.4| STL 0.3| PF 1.4| TOV 0.9| PTS 5.8

Previous ranking: 9th

Korkmaz had a solid start to the new year and even had back-to-back 16 point outings early in January. However, part of that was due to him getting more playing time, because other players were unavailable. He soon lost his spot in the rotation to Corey Brewer, which is why he didn’t see much time throughout the second half of the month.

10. Corey Brewer

January Stats: GP 6| MINS 22.3| FG% 40.0| 3P% 30.8| FT% 69.2| TRB 2.5| AST 1.5| BLK 0.3| STL 2.0| PF 2.3| TOV 1.0| PTS 8.2

Previous ranking: None

Brewer took over Korkmaz’s role after signing his first 10-day contract with the Sixers. He was an instant boost of energy to the 76ers perimeter defense. He even made several starts through his first and second 10-day contracts that he ended up signing with the Sixers. His impact on defense was undeniable and the Sixers were 6-1 when Brewer played during January.
