9. Jonah Bolden
February Stats: GP 6| MINS 13.8| FG% 56.0| 3P% 33.3| TRB 3.0| AST 0.8| BKL 0.8| STL 0.3| PF 2.5| TOV 0.7| PTS 5.5
Previous ranking: 8th
The trade deadline hurt the rookie’s chances at playing time. Boban Marjanovic took over Bolden’s role as backup after the trade deadline, however once Joel Embiid followed shortly by Marjanovic went down with injury, Bolden’s playing time saw an increase in minutes at the end of February. That return to the lineup allowed Bolden to finish the month with several strong games. It will be interesting how Brown keeps Bolden in the rotation once both big men return to the lineup.
8. T.J. McConnell
February Stats: GP 10| MINS 17.0| FG% 54.7| 3P% 60.0| TRB 2.7| AST 3.8| STL 1.8| PF 1.4| TOV 1.0| PTS 6.1
Previous ranking: 9th
There is no more threat to anyone taking the backup point guard minutes from McConnell. Fultz is gone now and McConnell should have no more fear of being sat in favor of another point guard, because the Sixers don’t have one coming off the bench. February was an average month in terms of production for the point guard.
Don’t let the 60.0 percent 3-point shooting fool you, he only took five attempts from downtown for the whole month. He only scored in double-digits once this past month and that was against the Lakers with 13 points, which is a season low in any single month thus far.
7. Mike Scott
February Stats: GP 8| MINS 21.1| FG% 39.2| 3P% 45.2| FT% 40.0| TRB 1.9| AST 1.1| BKL 0.4| STL 0.3| PF 2.0| TOV 0.8| PTS 7.0
Previous ranking: None
It has become abundantly clear from the month of February that Scott has become the go-to 3-point shooter off the bench for the Sixers after they acquired him in a trade. For the previous month he averaged 3.9 attempts from downtown. He’s arguably one of the most important bench players based on versatility and 3-point shooting. The only reason he’s not higher on these rankings is because the other bench player in front of him, actually made a few starts.
