Speaking of Nassir Little, it’s too early to lose faith in the 19-year-old. As someone once considered R.J. Barrett’s biggest threat for the No. 1 spot — hahahahahaha — Little’s season has taken a vastly different trajectory than expected.
Glued to the bench as part of the second unit, Little’s opportunities have been sparse compared to some of his five-star counterparts. He’s averaging just 9.7 points in 18.3 minutes per game, coupling flashes of brilliance with poor shooting and questionable decisions.
He’s an elite athlete at 6-foot-7, which manifests on both ends. The upside should get a lottery team to bite. His poor touch, lackluster shooting splits, and general inability to carve out a bigger role will push away some teams, though.
