NBA Draft 2019: Big Board 4.0
The go-to weapon for his hometown Indiana team, Romeo Langford put together a respectable freshman campaign. He failed to make the impact some expected, but it’s clear the shifty shot-creator has lottery talent.
Efficiency is the biggest concern for Langford, who shot just 44.8 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from deep. His three-point mechanics are unconventional, but were largely effective in high school and AAU. It’s a concerning trend that will give some teams pause.
A natural scorer with playmaking upside and nice defensive tools, Langford will still get top-10 consideration. His improvement late in the season — mainly a more efficient stretch in conference play — helped dissuade some detractors.
