NBA Draft 2019: Big Board 4.0
Daniel Gafford skipped an opportunity to go in the first round last season, which could end up backfiring. Entering the season as one of the most highly-touted bigs, a solid season hasn’t been enough to bolster Gafford’s stock.
It was, for the most part, a season of improvement for Gafford, who saw jumps in minutes, points and rebounds per game. His block numbers dipped, but he’s still an impressive athlete who can cover immense ground at 6-foot-10. His efficiency and free throw shooting also improved.
While there are questions about Gafford’s offensive ceiling, he’s an athletic roll man whose rim protection skills project well at the next level. He should be firmly in the first round discussion as June edges closer.
