After a rocky freshman season, KZ Okpala has broken out in his sophomore campaign with the Cardinal. He’s an excellent physical specimen, standing 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-2 wingspan — ideal measurables for a modern NBA wing.
Okpala comfortably stepped into a bigger role this season, boosting his scoring average by 6.6 points per 40 minutes. He’s also shooting 37.5 percent on 3.7 three-point attempts per game, a massive improvement over his 22.6 mark as a freshman.
While still raw in some areas, Okpala has the basic outline of an effective two-way wing at the next level. His size offers versatility on both ends and his skill set has shown promising growth over the past season.
