Cameron Johnson fits a valuable NBA archetype, standing 6-foot-9 and shooting threes at a 46.7 percent clip. Even at age 23, his skill set and physical attributes alone make him a solid first round prospect. He still has room to rise as well.
Now in his fifth collegiate season, this is Johnson’s second campaign with North Carolina. It’s been far and away his most impressive. He can play either the three or four, providing space with his shooting and boasting the size to contend with more traditional power forwards.
The Sixers have already expressed interest in Johnson, who might not last until the late 20s with a strong NCAA Tournament run. He’s a name on the rise and someone who checks several important boxes in 2019.
