Ty Jerome, Virginia
A departure from the potential lottery picks, Ty Jerome should be on the Sixers’ radar — whether it’s late in the first round or early in the second. He’s the ideal fit on the perimeter, manning either guard spot on paper and boasting attributes that Brett Brown covets.
The Sixers are due to move on from T.J. McConnell next season, whether it’s letting him walk in free agency or simply gluing him to the bench. Jerome could provide a replacement, offering the Sixers much-needed shooting in the second unit.
Jerome, who’s listed at 6-foot-5, possess a quick trigger from three-point range, boasting NBA range and constantly hitting shots on the move. He’s found a very comfortable niche in the Virginia offense, providing value in multiple facets on offense.
On top of playmaking — he’s averring 5.4 assists per game — Jerome can wreak havoc off the ball, curling around screens and taking advantage of the Cavaliers’ talented starting five. He and Kyle Guy compose one of the nation’s most underrated backcourts. He’s a definite Sixers candidate.
