Embiid’s impact on both ends of the floor cannot be overstated, and the team will essentially go as far as he takes them. That reality is made abundantly clear when one considers how the team functions when he plays versus when he is out of the lineup.
This season, Embiid boasts averages of 27.5 points per game, 13.6 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists per game, and shoots an impressive 80.4 percent from the foul line. The frightening part about Embiid for opposing teams and players is that he still has room to improve—he hasn’t yet reached his peak.
He has become an unstoppable force offensively with a polished skillset coupled with a gritty back to the basket game. Let’s not forget his towering presence on defense. Embiid is an excellent rim protector and oftentimes makes offensive players think twice about driving to the basket. He’s also a great post defender and makes winning hustle plays that rally his teammates and the Philadelphia crowd.
Joel Embiid is clearly the best player on the All-Time “Process” roster. He is bringing the 76ers back to relevancy and does so in a manner that makes him one of the most likeable players in the NBA. Embiid’s impact on the game and his charismatic personality are the things that solidify him as the franchise’s cornerstone. Through his dominance, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in position to compete for a championship for years to come.
