The lottery dropped Dallas’ spot in the standings, giving Atlanta a second top-10 pick to worth with. Romeo Langford should be on their radar, offering Lloyd Pierce another skilled perimeter piece to place alongside Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and Taurean Prince.

Langford struggled with his efficiency as a freshman, but his shooting stroke has been historically effective as an amateur. His soft touch at the rim, as well as a fruitful in-between game, should also help his case. Some have pinned Langford’s shooting struggles on his thumb injury, something teams will need to investigate further.

Despite the concerns about the reliability of his shot, Langford’s natural scoring touch, finishing at the rim and upside as a playmaker are enough to keep him entrenched in the lottery discussion. The Hawks are among the best player development spots in the league and could help iron out whatever flaws held the Indiana product back.
