Nickeil Alexander-Walker has tremendous measurements for an NBA comboguard, standing 6-foot-6 and wielding a 6-foot-10 wingspan. He has the tools to defend either guard spot, as well as the skill to play with or without the basketball.
A creator at Virginia Tech, Walker-Alexander showed great promise as a playmaker. He’s one of the best passers in the draft, whipping on-target dimes with both hands. He can see above defenders in the pick-and-roll and does an excellent job locating shooters off drives to the hole.
In addition to his passing, NAW is a smooth spot-up shooter who can maneuver his way into pull-up jumpers. While high-level athleticism isn’t there for the sophomore, his skill level and physical tools should lead to NBA success.
