A knee injury sidelined Louis King for the season’s first month, which hurt his stock quite a bit. The five-star recruit rebounded nicely down the stretch, though, becoming an important piece to Oregon’s unexpected tournament run.
Standing 6-foot-8 with a wingspan over the 7-foot mark, King has ideal measurements for a wing. He’s a long, fluid scorer, showing promise off the bounce and a smooth stroke out to the three-point line. While not the best finisher inside, his athleticism and touch warrant optimism.
King also has the tools to develop on defense, though he’s still a work in progress. His effort and commitment was inconsistent at best in college, as he often found himself out of position or beat one-on-one. If he can improve his intensity on that end, King projects as a solid 3-and-D wing with playmaking upside.
