After breaking onto scouting radars as a freshman, Jarrett Culver made himself a top-five pick candidate as a sophomore. He thrived as the go-to option for a Texas Tech team that finished runner-up in the tournament, showing tremendous growth as a shot-maker and creator.
At 6-foot-7 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, Culver has solid physical tools on the wing. He competes on defense and can defend several positions, boasting wide shoulders and the potential to add more strength in future seasons. He’s the kind of multi-position, versatile wing teams are attracted to.
On offense, Culver shows promise as a pull-up shooter. He has some nice dribble moves and tends to make tough shots. He projects as a decent spot-up shooter as well, but his mechanics are still long and arduous. His 30.4 percent three-point clip isn’t too inspiring.
