Placing the Philadelphia 76ers’ potential options at 24 into tiers.

The 2019 NBA Draft is *checks watch* today. The Philadelphia 76ers have five picks on the docket, starting with No. 24 — their only first-round selection. In a class short on high-end prospects, there’s a general flatness in talent after the top 15 or so.

At 24, the Sixers will have several viable options. Options who present either long-term upside or the potential for immediate impact, neither of which should be discounted. As Philadelphia’s cap space gets tighter, hitting on these late-round picks is crucial.

With the big event just hours away, I placed the Sixers’ potential options at 24 into tiers. .

Here are the prospects who will not make the list due to projected draft position: Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, R.J. Barrett, Jarrett Culver, Darius Garland, Cam Reddish, De’Andre Hunter, Coby White, Nassir Little, Sekou Doumbouya, Jaxson Hayes, Romeo Langford, Tyler Herro, Brandon Clarke, Rui Hachimura, P.J. Washington, Keldon Johnson and Goga Bitadze.

For my full big board, you can read our 2019 NBA Draft Guide. If a prospect in the above group tumbles to 24, Philadelphia should take a swing. The only exception to that general rule is Hachimura. The consensus wildly overrates him.

Here are my rough tiers. Again, the general flatness makes these tiers a bit broad in scope. Some might bleed together and prospects in tier three, for example, won’t represent the worst possible outcome. There’s not as much room for overextension on a prospect in this class.
