Current status: Signed to Philadelphia 76ers

In a reversal of the regular season narrative, Harris’ future now feels even less certain than Butler’s — strange considering just how convinced people were of Harris’ desire to stay long-term after the trade.

Like Butler, the Sixers can offer Harris a five-year, $190 million extension — more than any other team. There are whispers the Sixers might low-ball Harris, but in the end, Brand should have the courage to push forth a full-blown max contract if need be. Re-signing Harris is important.

  • The Sixers and Harris agreed to terms on a five-year, $180 million extension to keep the forward in Philadelphia. It’s clear the Sixers will have an opportunity to expand Harris’ role next season in lieu of Butler’s departure.
