This offseason has caused the Philadelphia 76ers to undergo a massive transformation and it looks to have put the franchise in a better place.

This is the first mailbag since the 2019 NBA Draft. The Philadelphia 76ers have gone through a lot of changes thanks to free agency. Most of the questions in this mailbag pertain to free agency or the results of it.

The following questions are from several of our Facebook followers.

  • Brian T. Zoppel starts off this mailbag with this question:

"“If he is bought out are we in play for korver?”"

Well, Kyle Korver has been waived and the Sixers are one of three teams in play for the veteran sharpshooter. The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks are the other teams that are interested in Korver, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

  • Next question comes from Dave Butler.

"“Are we done?? With two spots left I feel like we could use a couple more shooters. Whose left that we could sign if we miss out on Korver?”"

I doubt the Sixers are done. They might be waiting to see what the market looks like after the free agency dust settles. Getting a 3-point shooter should a priority for the front office. If the Sixers don’t get Korver, Nik Stauskas is another option that I and Justin DiVirgilio wrote about in the past.

There’s a chance they don’t completely fill out the roster now. They could leave a spot open to see what the team’s need will be once the season begins or if a valuable player becomes available after buyouts or waiver wire.

  • Spenser Henry has the last questions from our Facebook followers.

"“Dlo for Tobias straight up?”"

Well no, it wouldn’t work. It’s not because they wouldn’t be equal value from a talent stand point. It’s the salaries that would stop this deal from being just a straight up deal. Tobias Harris signed a five-year, $180 million contract, whereas D’Angelo Russell has signed a 4-year $117 million deal. Both the Sixers and Golden State Warriors are over the cap, so swapping them just isn’t possible without their contracts being the same, which they aren’t.

The next set of questions comes from our Twitter followers.

Korver has yet to make a free agent decision. Eneko Isasi, refer to my answer to Brian T. Zoppel’s question for addition information.

More from Sixers News

This is purely just my guess, but I suspect that for most of the game, either Joel Embiid or Al Horford will man the center spot. However, I suspect that Kyle O’Quinn could get 8-10 minutes per game during the regular season in an effort to converse Horford and Embiid for the postseason. Norvel Pelle and Jonah Bolden could see time there if injury occurs.

I suspect it will be a three main fight for minutes at the wing. Zhaire Smith, Matisse Thybulle and James Ennis will be fighting for minutes. With Ennis’ status as a veteran, he’s probably going to be a lock in the rotation. I suspect it will depend on who else is on the floor, but there’s a good chance that both Smith and Thybulle will see semi-regular minutes this season.

I suspect it will be as follows: Embiid, Harris, Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson and Horford.

Embiid’s going to continue to be the main focal point of the offense. Harris should thrive as a second option in the half court. Simmons’ command of the fast-break will make make his the team’s third leading scorer. Richardson will be lower on the picking order, still important to create his own offense. Horford hasn’t never need to be an offensive force before and should be the last option when all five other starters on on the floor.

Next. Thybulle’s shooting in Vegas is positive indicator. dark
