Trey Burke
Out of all the point guards on this list, Trey Burke would be an ideal signing for the Sixers. Philly needs a player that can create off the dribble coming off the bench and Burke can do that. He’s a deadly mid-range artist and not a terrible 3-point shooter. Burke is one of the best point guards left available that’s in the 76ers price range.

For the Knicks and Dallas Mavericks last season, Burke averaged 10.9 points, 2.7 assists and 0.6 steals, while making 35.2 percent from deep. Burke isn’t a great player to spread the ball or defender, but he does provide a solid scoring off the bench. If the Sixers can convince Burke to take a minimum contract to join the franchise, then they need to make that happen.
Kyle Korver
Once he retires, there’s no doubt that Kyle Korver will go down as one of the best 3-point shooters in NBA history. At 38-years-old, this could very well be Korver’s last season in the NBA. If that’s the case, he should end it where he began it, in Philly. Christopher Kline Co-Site Expert of The Sixer Sense, recently wrote about three reasons why the Sixers should sign Korver. It should also be noted that he’s been linked to the 76ers in free agency.
Despite his advanced age, Korver is still one of the best shooters in the NBA. Last season with the Cavaliers and Jazz, he averaged 8.6 points and 2.3 rebounds, while shooting 39.7 percent from downtown. He can still stretch the floor for the Sixers similarly to what J.J. Redick did last season. The question is if the 76ers can get him on a veteran’s minimum. If they can, then he should be their number one target on the free agent market.
The Philadelphia 76ers have plenty of options still available to them. Hopefully at least one of the players on this list make the Sixers opening day roster. Adding any of these players would improve Philly’s depth chart moving into this upcoming season.
