With the Summer Sixers having wrapped up another Summer League season, let’s take a look at some of the guys that turned heads this time around.

Another year of Summer League action has wrapped up for the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a disappointing end, as the Summer Sixers only went 2-3, but there were certainly a number of bright spots to come out of the action.

It’s always important to note that Summer League is very different kind of beast. Everything you watch has to be taken with a grain of salt. I mean shoot, remember when Furkan Korkmaz dropped 40 points in Summer League last year and we all thought the Sixers found their third star? Well, fast-forward a year and he’s going back in the EuroLeague. Success (even failure) this time of year isn’t always an accurate indicator of the future.

So while these games might not give us a chance to efficiently evaluate players, it does however provide an opportunity to see how certain guys look in a relatively competitive setting. It 1) gives us our first look at the new draftees, and 2) allows us to observe how second- or third-year guys are progressing.

Both points certainly apply this iteration of the Summer Sixers, and there were a few guys in particular that showed out this time around.
