Shaun Livingston
Out of all the players on this list, Shaun Livingston has the strong case for not being included it. The Sixers have concerns at the point guard depth and could use the added depth. He’s a solid veteran with championships on his resume. There’s a lot of things to like about the 6-foot-7 point guard. Yet despite 33-year-old’s positives as a veteran leader that can fill out the point guard depth, there’s legit reasons Philly should stay away from him.

Throughout of his 14 season NBA career, Livingston has only attempted 73 shots from the 3-point line and has a career 17.8 percent from downtown. Which isn’t a problem for most NBA teams, except for the 76ers. Philly needs all the shooters possible surrounding Embiid and Ben Simmons.
Last season the Sixers had problems when T.J. McConnell was on the floor, who also was reluctant to shoot from behind the arc. Granted Livingston is a better defender than McConnell, but still there will be spacing issues if Livingston were to sign.
Livingston may also not be a good option due to his age and NBA mileage he’s had over his career. He would be a good third string point guard on the 76ers, but there should be questions on whether he can be a primary backup at this point in his career. There’s been some decline in his game recently which should cause concern. While there could be an argument made to sign Livingston, it’s better for Philly to avoid him for the time being.
There’s no doubt that the Philadelphia 76ers still need to make roster moves this offseason, but adding any these five big name free agents shouldn’t be one of them. Agree or disagree? Comment below your opinion below and if there needs to be any other free agents Philly needs to avoid.
