4. Iman Shumpert

After a rough 2017-18 campaign, Iman Shumpert bounced back last season. He split the season between Sacramento and Houston, seeing his role decrease substantially with the latter. It was only natural after joining the Rockets’ wing-laden rotation midseason.

Despite his limited production, Shumpert has the chops of an NBA-caliber rotation piece. He’s a staunch wing defender and a capable spot-up shooter, two traits the Sixers unquestionably value. He’s someone Brown could find a use for.

Where Shumpert gets knocked is his proficiency on 3-point attempts. He shot just 34.8 percent last season, a tick below league average. His percentages dropped significantly in Houston, despite a system more friendly to open 3-point shots.

For his career, Shumpert is in a similar place — his 3-point percentage hovering a shade below league average. He’s a capable shooter, but he lacks the dynamic shooting potential or offensive skill package to separate himself in a deep wing rotation.

If the Sixers continue to bank on a defensive indentity, however, Shumpert is a natural choice. He’s the best defender on this list and is entering his prime at 29 years old. As far as archetypes the front office covets, Shumpert fits the bill.
