Sam Dekker

After having a successful college career at Wisconsin, Sam Dekker hasn’t seen the same level of success in the NBA. Dekker has struggled to carve out a rotational role on any of the four teams he’s played on in his four season career. For his career, Dekker’s averaged 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds, while making 28.8 percent of his 3-pointers.

Despite the NBA becoming more position-less basketball, the combo forward has struggled to find his fit in the league. He’s not a great 3-point shooter at this point in his career and doesn’t have a strong post game either. He’s decent driving to the basket, but not enough to make it a go-to weapon on offense. While he’s not a terrible defender, Dekker isn’t a difference maker on that end of the court.

Dekker is the oldest player on this list at 25-years-old and has the least amount of upside to tap into. The only way he stay in the NBA for a long time is if he can develop an outside shot. If the Philadelphia 76ers think he can do that, then it won’t hurt giving him a Exhibit 10 and allowing him to work on it with the Blue Coats. If he does develop an outside shot, then he could become bench player for the Sixers in the future.
