Al Horford vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Al Horford coming from the rival Boston Celtics, having received a four-year, $97 million contract with a further $12 million worth of bonuses, will look to support Joel Embiid as both a center and a power forward next season. On the other hand, the reigning MVP will look to take on the ‘next’ stage of his career by attempting to reach the NBA Finals. Giannis will attempt to reach his potential and help the Bucks come out of the East for the first time since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar took them to the Finals in 1973.

The comparisons of these players result in a clear winner, Al…(aha) Giannis Antetokounmpo. Being one of the most dominant and destructive players in the NBA, Giannis strikes fear into any opponent. Having averaged 28 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals, there are not many oppositions which has had much success in guarding this freak.

His destructiveness on both ends of the court, as well as his athleticism and speed, is terrifying. This is evident through the achievements that Giannis has achieved in his short career three-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA starter and a two-time All-Defensive player.

To add to the woes of the Sixers team, Giannis had his best two games last season against the Sixers, dropping 52 and 45 in two inspired performances. However, last season, the Sixers didn’t have Horford, a defenseive powerhouse, who has never missed the playoffs in his nine-year career.
