Joel Embiid vs. Brook Lopez
Joel Embiid is one of the top-three big men in the NBA. His dominance on the outcome of games can be witnessed through his performance against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the conference semifinals, scoring 33 points and grabbing 10 boards. The Sixers struggled heavily last season, especially during the playoffs whenever Embiid went to the bench for a breather. During Game 7 against Toronto, when Embiid went off for a three-minute break, the Sixers gave away insurmountable points.

Brook Lopez, being the deadly shooting center his is, continues to improve his efficiency behind the arc as the Bucks look to improve on last season. Furthermore, with his brother (Robin Lopez) joining Milwaukee as well, they will look to complement each other whilst the other takes a break on the bench.
The comparison of these players also results in an immediately apparent winner — the better player is obviously the one who has appeared in two All-Star games, been a two-time All-NBA player and a two-time All-Defensive player for the past two years. The one who was a near MVP candidate last season, averaging 28 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal per game.
On the other hand, Lopez averaged just 13 points, five rebounds and one assist per game, numbers which don’t align closely with those of Embiid. By clear observation, it is quite easy to tell who is the better player on the court: Embiid’s dominance and destructive power cannot be matched by 90 percent NBA players, let alone Brook Lopez.
When these two players are matched up together, although they are similar in height, the sheer presence of a healthy Embiid, is enough to scare anyone. This matchup has a easy winner.
Philly: 3-1-1
FINAL VERDICT
When comparing the matchups, position by position, Philadelphia narrowly comes out on top. However, in saying that, the outcome of a game could depend solely on the performance of one or two players.
Anything can happen.
