Someone who has the potential rise up draft boards, Joe Wieskamp showed tremendous promise as a freshman. He played a significant role for Iowa, hitting 42.4 percent of his 4.0 deep attempts per game. His deft touch on jumpers is an immediately translatable NBA skill.

In addition to his shooting, Wieskamp has a fairly strong all-around game. He’s not a top-level athlete, but his basketball I.Q., willingness to pass and overall instincts are major positives. He cuts at the right time, can hit off-movement shots and doesn’t kill the offensive flow.

At 6-foot-6, Wieskamp has good size for a wing and translates his I.Q. into solid defense. He’s not elite by any stretch, but he’s a workable defender who fills a valued role on offense. He should be locked into the first-round discussion.
