11. Trey  Burke

Out of all the 15 players expected to be on the opening night roster, Trey Burke is the only one that doesn’t have fully guaranteed deal for this season. Yet despite this, there’s a real chance that he be an important contributor off the bench. He’s had a rocky start to his career, but Burke has been able to mold himself into a solid role player.

He was a former lottery pick that played the first three seasons of his career with the Utah Jazz. There he slowly went from being a starter to being a reserve due to being inefficient as a scorer. From there, he’s bounced around from the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, and Dallas Mavericks for the past three seasons.

Over the six years of his NBA career, Burke has slowly become a deadly and efficient scorer from the mid-range. For his career he averaged 10.9 points and 2.7 assists, while converting 43.1 percent of his field goals and 35.1 percent from the 3-point line. He can create his own shot off the dribble, which is unique talent that he only posses on the Sixers bench.

Despite having a partially guaranteed contract, Burke could very well be the play for minutes as the primary reserve point guard for the 76ers. He could become a prime source of offense for the team’s second unit this season. If he produces offense at an efficient rate, he could be key to the second unit’s success.
