3. Mike Scott
Re-signing Mike Scott was a vital move for the Sixers as he has the capability of being a very efficient 3-point shooter, and also by providing valuable minutes to the Sixers whilst Joel Embiid or Al Horford are rested throughout the season.
Having shot 41 percent from downtown in his 27 games for the Sixer during the regular season, Scott has shown signs of potential. With the departure of J.J. Redick, the Sixers lost themselves a highly efficient 3-point shooter and someone who can knock down shots from ridiculous angles. This terrible void will be filled slightly by both Mike Scott, who can be a very effective shooter and new face Josh Richardson.
This role is vital in the modern NBA, as the average points scored per game has gradually increased over the years. Last season, Mike Scott’s full potential wasn’t used, as the old roster was comprised of players who were better shooters and more efficient defenders than Mike.
Their departure opens doors for improvement and to maximize his potential. With an increased game time and a larger role with the current roster, Mike will continue to bring high-quality games for the Sixers fans. This is why he is ranked third on this list.
