What if the Philadelphia 76ers were Earth’s mightiest heroes?

As the Philadelphia 76ers teeter on the edge of a new era, movie-lovers around the globe are celebrating the end of an era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It goes without saying, but if you have for whatever reason not seen the Marvel movies but plan on watching all 22 in the future, don’t read any further. You can peruse to our homepage for less spoiler-y Sixers content.

If you live on planet earth and have seen all 22 Marvel movies (or at least a solid chunk of them …), you’re in the right place. While I spend my days covering the Sixers, I’m also a burgeoning cinephile who happens to enjoy Marvel more than I probably should.

So, as the doldrums of the offseason give way to training camp in the coming weeks, there’s no better time to accomplish the most important objective in TSS history: Comparing the Sixers to the Avengers.

The criteria is simple: If there’s an Avenger who parallels a Sixer in any way, shape or form, it’s fair game. This is meant to be a fun exercise. Please feel free to supply your own thoughts and perspectives in the comment section. Just keep it light-hearted. We’re here for a good time.
