JaVale McGee
JaVale McGee is known for being a hyper athletic center with goofball tendencies. His tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers can be somewhat forgettable. He saw success early in his career with the Washington Wizards and Nuggets, but he began to struggle with the Nuggets before the end of his tenure there. Hinkie took advantage of the situation and took on the money that was McGee’s contract in a deal that landed the Sixers a first round pick that turned into Furkan Korkmaz.
McGee only played in six games for the 76ers, while averaging 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds. Since his quick stop on Philly’s roster, he’s played for the Dallas Mavericks, Warriors and is currently on the Lakers. This preseason he’s been in competition for the starting center role against Dwight Howard.
Andre Iguodala
Andre Iguodala was one of the highest profile first round picks during the Allen Iverson era. He made an All-Star game with the Sixers and developed into one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. In eight seasons with the 76ers, he averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals.
He made a quick stop with the Nuggets before joining the Warriors. After having a historic NBA finals run with the Warriors, winning three NBA titles in five seasons, he is stuck in limbo. The Warriors traded him this offseason to the Grizzlies and he isn’t projected to be with the club (link in tweet needs subscription to read) for the whole year. Expect him to find his way onto a contender at some point through a trade or buyout.
