Philadelphia 76ers: All-Time Process rankings
10. Jerami Grant
Christopher Kline
Another ‘Process’ success story, Jerami Grant was a mid-second round pick in 2014. A once-hyped prospect turned high-risk project, Grant flourished amid Philadelphia’s grove of big men. His athleticism quickly turned into production, both as a rim-runner and as a versatile defender. He averaged 8.2 points per game with Philly.
Grant’s Sixers tenure was cut short by the Ersan Ilyasova trade in 2016, which marked Philadelphia’s attempt to transition from tanking to winning. Ilyasova had a couple good runs in South Philly, but the move will go down as one of Bryan Colangelo’s many questionable decisions. Grant has blossomed into a strong NBA rotation piece.
9. Thaddeus Young
Justin DiVirgilio
Thaddeus Young is a beloved member of the 76ers during his time with the club. Young, the somewhat undersized power forward, had one of the highest motors in the NBA since he stepped into the league at 19-years-old. He averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals with the 76ers. Young spent his first seven NBA seasons with the Sixers and basically became a man while playing in Philadelphia.
Young showed that on the court as I can fondly remember all of the charges that he would take. The left-handed power forward was a great example for the young guys on the team for his 100 percent effort at all times.
Young’s tenure with Sixers ended in the summer of 2014 where he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Alexey Shved, Luc Mbah a Moute and a Cleveland Cavaliers 2016 first round protected pick. Young is a player that could fit on the team now and was appreciated throughout his time in Philly.
