The 2019-20 NBA season is officially upon us. Here’s what we expect from the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers begin the 2019-20 NBA season tonight at 7:30 PM E.T. against the Boston Celtics. It marks a quick reintroduction to his former teammates for Al Horford, and it marks the first real test for the Sixers’ new group.

Expectations are running high for the Sixers, a team many project as the top unit in the Eastern Conference. A sizable contingent of NBA media has already dubbed Philadelphia title favorites. More have the Sixers firmly in the mix.

It’s too early to have definitive opinions on how the new group will mesh. There are valid questions offensively, and even the elite defensive core has a handful of flaws to keep tabs on. But with lofty expectations compounded by the loud and rambunctious nature of Philly fandom, it’s only right to drop a few hot takes on opening night.

Our group convened to offer up record predictions for the 2019-20 season. Some takes were hotter than others, sure, but the trend is clear. People, including our own writers, tend to think highly of the Sixers.

Here are our official record predictions.
