Philadelphia 76ers: Record predictions for the 2019-20 season
Ashley Foltz
I don’t want to say it, because I think I may jinx it, but the Sixers are going into the 2019-20 NBA season with a healthy roster *prays to the basketball gods that it stays that way*. On top of that, this Sixers team is full of players of all different strengths.
Due to the loss of 20 pounds, Joel Embiid is looking more fit than ever going into this season. It shows his dedication to going even further this season and becoming one of the best players in the league (in my opinion he’s already up there).

Oh, you thought you’d be able to read this prediction without hearing me rant about how great Ben Simmons will be this year? It’s not just because he made his very first NBA three-pointer on his first attempt of the year (yes, I know he was ridiculously open against a non-NBA team).
The Sixers gained some huge assets this offseason that exponentially stepped up their chances at a title. Al Horford, a former foe, now a friend of Philadelphia, is going to take a lot of weight off of Embiid’s shoulders. Josh Richardson is an underrated player who’s going to shine as a playmaker.
Tobias Harris has been working on his defensive game this offseason, so we hope to see him excel as a two-way player the Sixers can count on.
One standout star from this preseason was the defensive dominator himself, Matisse Thybulle. I could barely keep track of the number of blocks, steals, and rebounds he accumulated.
Trey Burke, along with James Ennis, Mike Scott, and Kyle O’Quinn will play major roles off the bench to help elevate the team. This bench is definitely one that we can look forward to watching this season.
I think many would agree with me in saying that the Sixers have a huge chance at winning the NBA championship this year with such a dynamic roster.
