3. Ben Simmons: A+ teammate

Was the “chokehold” a little much? Maybe, but in a volatile situation there isn’t much time to stop and think (he also didn’t go full UFC and lock it in so let’s all calm down ).

When a gigantic human being wants to fight another epically sized human, your best option is probably another mammoth-sized man getting in the way. Ben Simmons wasted zero time trying to get his teammate out of trouble.

If you know someone from Australia they’re either one of the craziest or toughest people you know. They’re a different breed. Simmons can get berated by the trolls for his lack of a jumper, but his effort to deescalate the situation was admirable. The Sixers’ size and strength is visually obvious but knowing they’re ready to mix it up for their team at a moments’ notice is something to take pride in.
