2. Matisse Thybulle is the real deal

Speaking of defense, it is really hard not to love what we’re seeing from Matisse Thybulle so early on in his career.

The kid is an absolute monster on defense and it is extremely fun to watch. I understand that he is not a very polished offensive player yet, but Matisse has been able to knock down a few big three-pointers, and with the way he is playing defensively you can’t ask for much more from him right now.

Matisse is currently leading the NBA in steals per game with 12 and is averaging five steals and 2.5 blocks per 36 minutes played, which is just ridiculous. He simply makes things happen, and is always around the ball.
