4. Al Horford is a perfect fit
After just one week, it is already clear that Al Horford is a perfect fit for this team and that this was an excellent signing by general manager Elton Brand.
As the unofficial team Dad, Horford brings a calming veteran presence to a group of young players that are still learning how to navigate their way through success. Not only that, but Horford (who we have always appreciated in Philadelphia) has an uncanny ability to be in the right spot at the right time and make everyone around him better with his elite basketball I.Q. and passing ability.
He gives the Sixers a ton of flexibility in their lineups without Joel Embiid, which was a major problem for the team last season. Additionally, Horford has been very clutch offensively in crucial moments when the team really needs someone to go get a bucket.
Big Al has been just as good as advertised and then some.
