If Embiid had not missed the game against the Pistons and didn’t get ejected for fighting in the game against the Timberwolves, then he would have been higher on this list. Embiid is still one of the best centers in the NBA. The only area where Embiid struggled with last month was with foul trouble, which won’t always be the case for the big man.
2. Al Horford
October Stats: GP 4| MINS 32.8| FG% 42.6| 3P% 27.8| FT% 73.3| TRB 9.0| AST 3.5| BKL 1.0| STL 0.8| PF 4.3| TOV 0.8| PTS 14.0
As expected, there were some growing pains with Al Horford joining a new team, while playing a position he hasn’t regularly played in the past. Still all things consider, Horford had a very solid month. The main area of concern was his 3-point shooting. In order for him and Embiid to be able to play effectively together, both big men have to hit 3-point shots at a decent percentage.
1. Tobias Harris
October Stats: GP 4| MINS 36.5| FG% 49.1| 3P% 34.8| FT% 78.6| TRB 9.0| AST 3.0| STL 1.5| PF 3.5| TOV 2.8| PTS 18.8
Considering that Tobias Harris is playing out of position, it’s fair to say he’s had a very good month. It’s doubtful he will be at the top of these rankings very often, but he deserved it for his performance in October. He only had one bad game on the month, but overall he was very consistent and put up very good stats.
