73. . 9-3. Previous: . Denver Nuggets. 6. team

The Nuggets got off to a clunky start, yet still managed to pull out victories on a consistent basis. Nikola Jokic hasn’t quite looked himself, but even so, they’re 9-3 and stand strong in the deep Western Conference playoff race. Denver’s depth is special.

Los Angeles Clippers. 5. team. 77. . 9-5. Previous:

The Clippers haven’t yet lived up to expectations, in part due to Kawhi Leonard’s injury and recent struggles. The reigning Finals MVP missing games is not a surprise, and the Clippers are playing the long game. There’s too much talent to slot L.A. outside the top five, especially with Paul George bursting onto the scene.

. 11-2. Previous: . Boston Celtics. 4. team. 18

The Celtics were on a 10-game win streak prior to a gut-wrenching loss in Sacramento over the weekend. Boston has managed to swiftly overcome the loss of Kyrie Irving and Al Horford, and Brad Stevens deserves credit. Gordon Hayward was their best player early on, but even his injury hasn’t slowed Boston’s momentum.
