2. Turnovers

This problem has plagued the Sixers’ current nucleus for years. This season, they are currently 11th overall as a team in coughing up turnovers. In November of last year, Sixers head coach Brett Brown addressed this very problem.

"“Until we can fix this, this is a house built on sand, it is fools gold, we have to find a discipline and a better way to control that.”"

Ben Simmons, who is in the top-five in assists, is also seventh in turnovers. Joel Embiid who is 16th in turnovers, is only behind Andre Drummond among centers.

The Philadelphia 76ers start and end with Simmons and Embiid. They set the tone and mood of the team each night on the hardwood. When you’re a star player, you are going to have the ball in your hands a ton, that is understood. However, since they are the heartbeat of the team, they are held to a higher standard.

It is common knowledge that fewer turnovers usually translates to more wins.
