2. Experimentation with lineups and rotations
With Jo being out for an extended amount of time, it gives Brett Brown an opportunity to try out different lineups and rotations. The Sixers will turn to the backup centers to get their shot at somehow filling the large seven-foot void.
Norvel Pelle is basically fighting for his roster spot right now as his two-way deal is potentially coming to an end in a few games unless Brett Brown sees fit and wants to keep him. We can expect to see lots of minutes going to the shot-blocking king.
Kyle O’Quinn has been in Brett Brown’s doghouse for a while now. He’s barely seen any time on the court, implying that Brown doesn’t trust him. But with more open minutes now, O’Quinn could see more time coming up, allowing him to earn back Brown’s trust.
We haven’t seen much of Jonah Bolden this season, and when I say that I mean we’ve only had two Bolden sightings on the court this season. Who knows though, Brett Brown could be feeling wild and throw Bolden into the rotation in an upcoming game to see what he can do to contribute.
