Tobias Harris was huge for the Sixers this past month. His scoring and 3-point shooting was exactly what they needed. He only scored in single-digits twice and scored 30-plus three times, including a season high 35 points against the Detroit Pistons. He also recorded one double-double during December.

On the month, Ben Simmons had seven double-doubles and one triple-double. After a slow start to the season in terms of scoring, Simmons was able to come back to around his career average. Whenever Simmons is aggressive it usually means good things for the 76ers. Hopefully, he can continue this type of aggression moving forward into 2020.

Despite missing three games in December, Joel Embiid began to look like the MVP candidate he was last season. He only scored below 20 points twice last month and scored 30 plus points four times. He recorded a season high 38 points against the Boston Celtics in December as well. He also recorded 11 double-doubles last month. This is the Embiid the Sixers need moving forward if they want a shot at a title.
